Library Instruction

Librarians conduct information literacy classes to help students learn to identify, find, evaluate, select, and retrieve appropriate and authoritative library and information resources in print and online for their research assignments. Call 845-398-4218, or stop by the library to request a class.


Reference service: Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm; Friday 8am-4pm; Saturday 10am-5pm.

Reference on Reserve” enables a faculty member to have their students get Information Literacy Instruction outside of class time. This service goes hand in hand with an Information Literacy Class. (Information Literacy constitutes the abilities to recognize when information is needed and to locate, evaluate, effectively use, and communicate information in its various formats.
